Pedestrian Tales From the Middle of the Road, #29

Yet another avoidable Central Florida death.  This one occurred under the watch of Brevard County Sheriff Jack Parker. May God bless Daignault's family and the pedestrian's family.

Troopers: Pedestrian hit, killed in Brevard County

Florida Highway Patrool troopers said a pedestrian was hit and killed in Brevard County Saturday night. The crash happened shortly before 9:00 a.m. on State Road 3 at Spruce Avenue, in Merritt Island.

A Toyota Scion, driven by Colette Daignault, struck the pedestrian, according to troopers. FHP said the pedestrian, whose identity has not been released, was trying to cross State Road 3 at the time of the crash.

Investigators said the pedestrian walked directly into the path of the Toyota Scion and Daignault is not facing charges.
