shell on the beach in Sandyland Carpinteria

As we meandered on our walk past the sunbathers to the other side of channel we spotted this art on Sandyland Beach in Carpinteria.  Everything about it was perfect in our eyes.

Happy Sunday, Cheers Ron & Alexandra

Ron & Alexandra- good eye.  I love the less is more look.  I'd guess Mother Nature could teach us something about art.

Hi Alexandra - Great shot. I'm picturing a tiny crab sitting in the shade of that shell, with an even tinier umbrella drink and an itty bitty magazine.

Kathy,

We look to Mother Nature in all the work we do.  I am a fan of less is more, however, there are many who see beauty in the more which is part of who they are.  Happy Sunday

Debb,

Yes it was, as it is everytime we venture out for a walk.  We both always seen something new, and yesterday was no exception, we saw a dolphin frolicking close to shore next to a paddle board.  The lady on the paddleboard was riveted watching the dolphin's antics

Dick,

I had the thought of a crab being there under the shell also, but you gave it major character and an incredibly well expressed visual...That would make for a great cartoon. Happy Sunday, A

Sometimes the simplest things are the best ones, Alexandra. I love the graphic that Dick's comment bring to mind!

Toni,

I love the graphic too, Dick has a great sense of humor.  And, yes, the simple things speak loud and clear. A

Ron and Alexandra,

I've seen several brochures with covers similar to this. :)

Steve,

It is definitely iconic, except the brochures are staged with perfect shells.  This one is broken, and there is a hole near it.  This is purely nature at work. A
