Sellers should disclose everything about the house on the Louisiana Property Disclosures.  Duct tape is never a good idea as a patch even if it is in the closet

 

Look what was behind the duct tape which could easily be peeled back.

Only in Louisiana - DUCT TAPE is used to patch  EVERYTHING!  I had to laugh out loud, REALLY, when I saw your post.
