Celebrate Howl-O-Ween With Your Furry Friends
Wear your costume for a cause
Generation Wags, an organization dedicated to spreading awareness about pet abuse and neglect, is throwing a Halloween bash to benefit animals in the Gaithersburg, Md. area.
On Saturday, Oct. 27, dogs and owners can put on their costumes for a three-mile brisk walk/run with fellow animal lovers, beginning at Fleet Feet Sports (255 Kentlands Blvd., Gaithersburg, Md.).
The festivities continue with a Halloween party (235 Kentlands Blvd., Gaithersburg, Md.) where miniature pinschers from a local rescue shelter will be up for adoption. Guests will also have a chance to learn more about volunteer jobs and fostering animals.
Families are encouraged to attend, as well as get their pictures taken in costume with their furry friends.
The day begins at 9:30 a.m. and continues until noon, so you have plenty of time to stop by and make a difference in the life of a local animal in need.
