Document Shred Day in Katy Texas
Shred Day will take place in Katy Texas on Saturday October 27, 2012 from 9 AM until noon. Bring boxes or any container of old unwanted documents and these will be shredded for the donation of $10.00 per box. The event will take place at the First Victoria bank which is located at 5005 S. Mason Road Katy Texas. The bank is on the corner of Fry Road and Mason on the southeast corner.
The idea is bring boxes and bags full of unwanted papers, documents, bills, junk mail, magazines and whatever to First Victoria Bank and they will shred all of these documents for you.
What I believe is the really cool part is that all proceeds from this shredding operation will be given to the “Impact a Hero “charitable organization. This group helps severely wounded service women and men. In their own words taken from their web site: “ Impact A Hero is a non-partisan 501(c) (3) organization, created to provide a simple mechanism for individuals and corporations to help provide emotional and financial support for our severely wounded /disabled War on Terror veterans and their families. All Donations are tax-deductible.”
I personally believe our government does not provide and never has provided the assistance it should to these wounded heroes. This is a total positive situation for all participants. We still have numerous old files in both my garage and study that need to be shredded. Unfortunately I did not see this event being promoted until just recently and I am showing homes tomorrow.

This same event was held back in late August of this year and I wrote blog about it back then. I always believe in backing Veterans especially those who have been injured.
