Second only to Christmas, Halloween is more popular than ever. Here are a few thoughts for all the little and not so little trick-or-treaters in Laramie this year:

An adult should accompany ALL children who trick or treat from door to door.

Older trick-or-treaters should go as a group, have a planned route, carry cell phones and be alert of the people around.

Keep track of your children even if they are attending sponsored indoor events.

Even though we live in Laramie, we still need to excersize common sense and caution. So, here's.....

Wishing you a safe and Happy Halloween from our wonderful little city on the windy plains of Wyoming!

My kids are not trick-or-treaters any longer. BUt, I did call my son this afternoon to remind him to stay off the roads from 6-9 p.m. The last thing I want to hear is about kids running thru the street and drivers not being careful.

Hi Jon, Thanks! We're into the home made I guess....

Hi Sarah and Lester, we did indeed remember that flashlight. It was especially useful for crossing the streets to alert cars we were there.

Good point, Melissa. I had to take a couple kids home and it was certainly a different experience being the one IN the car and looking out for the trick-or-treaters.
