Located at 500 South Oak Knoll Avenue in Pasadena you will find the Parkwood condominium complex. Built as apartments in 1973 and later converted to condos, the 48 single level residences consist of two or three bedrooms(one a master suite) and two baths. Each has a patio or balcony area.
One of the more interesting features of Parkwood is the garden courtyard -- note the bridge, mature landscaping and pond. Parking is underneath the building and accessed through a security gate. There are two entrance lobbies, elevator service and a community laundry as well as storage units for the homes.

They range in price from $395,000 to $505,000(a three bedroom) with an average sales price of $423,200(median $407,000). The average price per square foot for 2012 for closed transactions has been $342.29.
In 2011, there was only one sale at Parkwood according to our MLS statistics. It was an updated unit with approximately 1164 which closed for $419,000 in June.
Step outside Parkwood and you are steps away from Lake Avenue and convenient to Caltech(California Institute of Technology), Pasadena Playhouse and not far from Old Pasadena or Paseo Colorado. Multiple freeways are convenient as is the Gold Line light rail station at Lake Avenue.
