Ever Watch "How It's Made Program" That ABC Explains How It Is Built?

The application of production lines to man and machine making something we need in society.

The process of building devices, making a product is a streamlined assembly miracle.

With a little help from the human element in the operation background. To guide the process with robotics in the foreground doing the heavy lifting.

If would be a neat show to see the ABC of list, market, sold (repeat) we all practice in on the busy streets, country roads in our real estate communities.

The simple process explained as it unfolds in the anatomy of a typical real estate listing, sale would be an eyeful operation to behold.

To help buyers and sellers understand the process. To set reasonable expectations. So more positive movement, results happen without the overload of emotion. Because real estate sales are an emotional experience that involve people. Home is where you belong, ownership matters. As the latest NAR campaign touts on line, over the broadcast airwaves beam.

The show has lots of clips showing the process of building. The narration is short sentences that simply outline what the viewer is seeing. Why this process is needed next. Technical writing to not confuse and with few words make the point that needs to be relayed. Explaining the process with an overview upfront. Not just quickly listing and along the way answering maine welcome sign photoquestions is not a good foundation for a positive real estate partnership between buyer, seller, agent, broker, REALTOR.

Ever watch the How Things Are Made on the Discovery Channel?

Each station or stage of the process explained simply, fully with a see Dick and Jane sophistication level.

Free of emotion, no hidden agenda, just the process of how to build on a mass scale to keep the cost per unit low, affordable.

Usually a product, the science of building something in a mass produced setting.

But isn't the MLS a mass produced array of properties?

In a slew of communities all with unique flavor, character?

And an approach for success tied to the personality of the guy or gal delivering the property listing array. And play by play of the day to day surrounding the GPS coordinates of the real estate listing that comes in various types, prices, conditions.

The transfer of real estate is a marketing science with predictability and transparency, a connection of the professional wearing the blue and gold "R". Marketing real estate works better with video presentations too. Using the eyes and ears and not the old way of read read read and lots left out on the biggest purchase anyone ever makes in life.

I can see, hear the three part series intro of the real estate "How It's Made" video describing a listing, a sale, a closing.

Have to work on that real estate video series to explain the process, the way it happens in our small rural northern Maine market. Not necessarily the exact same process in an urban one or an area with different dynamics shaping it.

Maine, big state, less people, more outdoor natural beauty.

If we think of a real estate listing needing certain "parts"... realistic price, clean apperance, full throttle marketing all bolted together. And the seller to have "parts" including patience, knowing appraisal is key, to be flexible and not cranked up if showing is canceled when buyer's kid gets sick, etc. Those "parts" added to the listing, marketing conveyor belt production of a sale. And seeing what derails, kicks the listing off the route to the long conference room closing table. For an actual real estate sale, what has to happen at the lisitng level, marketing treatment to get to the SOLD panel screwed on the real estate sign with your colors, brand out front. Video on tools of the trade, etc. Where is my black and white Polaroid anyway ? (looking around for what was used 33 years ago for imagery.)

Barbara... had a little poetic license with that sign. Eye dropped sample shade of top font, after erasing in back ground color the parking information in Kittery center so add a little I know what it feels like. We are a trek north up I95 but oh oh so worth it to preserve the beauty of Maine. Too many people, over easy access would mean it would be like every other over populated place on the planet. With hurry up and wait traffic, live in fear crime. That is so so not Maine

Caring expertise...knowledge for you!

A terrific idea!   We all think the consumer understands the process...shockingly often, they have no idea at all, even when they have bought and sold before.

Li ...  So true. Expectations in real estate sales, setting them early on so the steps are familiar, a pattern and reason for this, this and that is obvious. Otherwise the buyer and seller's wild imaginations kick in because you did not. Confusion can be avoided. Communicate.
