Open house with a twist

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

As we have a record low inventory in San Diego I did my first open house of the year on Sunday in Chula Vista CA 91913 with my new listing. The property is a 4 bedroom home in the Otay Ranch neighborhood. Priced around $360,000 these homes are extremely desirable to first time buyers with families.

After I had set out my open house signs I put my laptop on the kitchen counter and started watching some training videos from Financial Education Services (FES). FES is a credit restoration company with a A+ rating from the BBB that I aligned myself with a few weeks ago, to help my clients with less than perfect credit.
After about 10 minutes in came my first couple with their Realtor who let his clients explore the home on their own. Normally at this point I would make small talk to the other agent about the low inventory but this time I went for the jugular and asked "What do you do with you clients with less than perfect credit"? Almost all replied that they directed them back to their lender, I then replied can I send you a video that may help you and your clients get back in the market within 45 to 60 days with an increased FICO score.
Then came the twist ALL the agents wanted more information and started going off on tangents about all their other clients with less than perfect credit. What about foreclosures?, can you remove bankruptcies?, what about late payments?, collections?
This went on all day and every Realtor had question after question. I spent 4 hours at the property, had over 20 couples sign in and most of the 20 had agents. I followed up with the agents and sent them the video on credit repair and how to help your clients.

What surprised me the most was the interest in the credit repair service. I like most agents think that we are the only ones with clients with low FICO scores, so not true. So if you have clients with less than perfect credit check out this 11 minute video and let me know if you are a 1,2 or a 3

As a side note I did receive 2 offers for the property and we should be in escrow by the end of the week.

If you have any further questions regarding FES and helping your clients with less than perfect credit drop me an email to mikekwcv@gmail.com

Wow Mike, sounds like a fun open house.  I plan to check out the video link you provided.  We can't give up on buyers that have credit issues, when they are hot to buy.

Very creative approach to 'capture' time and attention. All too often, prospects want to 'run and hide' when they are forced to answer questions. Good job!
