These kids today completely amaze me! I can barely carry a basketball and walk at the same time but they can run up and down the court swapping the ball back and forth between hands and shoot the ball at the basket at the age of 8. Scary!! But it is surely fun and inspiring to watch. Wish I was coordinated!!
Sports is an important thing to introduce kids to early on. These days they sit all day in front of the tv or computer. It just isn't like it was when we were kids and we were outside playing all day.
Basketball has always amazed me - the coordination and stamina required - wears me out just watching, LOL.

One of the men in my office coaches 5 and 6 year olds. He loves it and says he gets more out of it than the kids do!

Hi Jeanne & Ralph, basket ball is a great activity for these 8 year old children, very soon they may become a professional players.
Honestly, it is so amazing to see how advanced kids are! I wish I had that much energy! :)
Lately, I've had an ear infection so walking is difficult at times. This is something I couldn't do even before :)
My grandchildren amaze me.. they are so athletic and well coordinated. I still think of them as babies but babies they are not.. they are very skilled at some sport activities. You're right.. even 8 yr olds..

Ralph and Jeannie, That reminded me of when I played basketball in Jr High and High School....I just loved it so much. So I'm sure there is a lot of passion with that group of kids.
They say KIDS in SPORTS, are not in Courts...I saw those signs often on the roads in New Zealand. :)
