Recently remodeled, and now owned and operated by Courtney Fisher Sellers & Robyn Stallworth Pouquette, they have given Mostly Muffins a great new face lift, while keeping it rooted for what it has been best known for, Muffins!
The vibrant energy, décor and attentive staff, help compliment the delicious menu that they have provided for all those who visit. The new look of the dining room allows your eyes to glide across the restaurant and enjoy the new look that was long overdue from the original owners in the early 80’s.
The menu gives good balance to the restaurant with a good variety of soups and sandwiches while they pour Seattle’s Best Coffee and other refreshing drinks. But the real reason why they are open is for those oversized muffins that range in a delight of flavors which are a great way to start your day, or a nice surprise to someone you want to catch the glimpse of. However you decide to enjoy them, the muffins from Mostly Muffins are oversized, delicious and never boring.
For today’s meal, I enjoyed my lunch with one of their lunch specials. Which includes, your choice of half a sandwich, bowl of soup and a mini muffin, along with a large drink. I picked the turkey sandwich with chicken noodle soup and a cheesecake mini muffin, and then rounded it out with a fruit punch.
The sandwich comes with cheese, lettuce, basil sprouts, tomato and a side packet of mustard & mayonnaise. The bread is very light and flavorful and there is sufficient meat to make it a turkey sandwich worth eating. The chicken noodle soup has great flavor and the noodles are thick and flavorful with chunks of chicken and vegetables. The mini muffin at the end is just the right kiss of dessert that leaves you happy that your lunch won’t make you sluggish or slow for the rest of your day. If anything, it’s more of a great way to help put a smile on your face until you come visit them again.
