Looking for a music theater show that is new and spectacular? Priscilla Queen of the Desert is a funny Broadway musical about friends (dressed in drag) that go on a road trip in a beat up bus (named Priscilla), ending up in Australia where they discover love, friendship and more. This was a film made in 1994 in Australia, then went live in 2006. Priscilla Queen of the Desert is a new musical version that is doing a national tour in the spring of 2013. Lucky enough for us, the bus stops here in Dallas as the Dallas Summer Musicals brings Priscilla Queen of the Desert to the stage Tuesday May 14th through Sunday May 26th at Music Hall at Fair Park.

I'm liking many of the musical versions even better. There is just something to seeing something live instead of recorded, remastered version. And even with technology like it is, it is difficult to capture the true feel of music sung live. It gives me goosebumps!
