I can't believe it; this week we surpassed the magical 500,000 point level on Active Rain!

If you are one of our real estate clients who follows our blog, you are probably saying "what points?" Well, Active Rain points aren't worth anything, don't really mean anything, and you probably don't care about them! 

That being said, points are a fun way to gauge your blogging prowess in your local real estate market and compete against other agents. I remember at times watching the points and thinking it was a big deal. Like I said, nobody really cares but they are a good way for bloggers to get their feet wet and stay motivated to write. Once you get past that, you don't even think about them anymore.

We've learned a lot over the past 5 years writing our real estate blog for the Springfield Missouri Ozarks. For you newbees, there was no WYSIWYG for formatting or "undo" button! At times they whole system was so slooowwww. My how times have changed!

We've learned everything from how to write HTML code to taking better pictures. We've done videos about neighborhoods, local events, and lots of listings. We also share and learn a lot from other bloggers about our profession.

We've learned a lot on the Road to 500,000 points, and we're just getting started!             Now, where do I cash these in for $$...?
