The community was built by GL Homes from 1997 to 1999. Valencia Lakes was the first community in the "Valencia" series. It was a hit and started a trend that continues today.

There is also every conceivable kind of shopping within a short driving distance. The shopping plaza nearby has everything from a grocery store to a pharmacy. In the evenings, you may want to have dinner at Flakowitz (or breakfast or lunch for that matter) or any of the nearby restaurants or head to downtown Delray Beach, a short car ride away.
There is another shopping plaza up the street Whitworth Farms, which has a grocery store complete with pharmacy, Dunkin Donuts, several restaurants, nail salon, medical supplies and more. And in the super Target nearby is a new Starbucks!
Head west to 441 and you'll end up at Bedner's for farm fresh produce. Valencia Lakes is near everything including places of worship, banking, shopping, highways, Attractions and more.
