Yelping helps local businesses

Yelping helps local businesses.

Everyone has probably heard that word of mouth is the best advertisement.  People trust recommendations by people who have used a service, ate in a restaurant, or bought a product from a company.  Advertisements are great, however when reviews come from people who are not paid for the review, it is more trusted.

We can help local small businesses grow by taking just a moment to write positive comments on local Wichita Falls businesses.  One challenge with online reviews is, just like face-to-face, people tend to share negative information about a bad experience much more quickly than a good experience.  I guess it is just something in our nature that we sometimes take good service for granted.  This is probably more of the case here in north Texas because we expect people to be kind and friendly as a major aspect of our culture.

Find Wichita Falls Homes for Sale from $100K - $250K

Please take a moment the next time you are at a local small business and check in on Yelp, then write a short review of the great service you received.  This will help the small business owner which will benefit our overall economy.

There is also the aspect of reciprocity, or sometimes called the law of attraction.  If we make a habit of sending out good reviews for others, then the law of reciprocity says that good will return to us.

Yelp is an undervalued platform by a lot of businesses ... and real estate agents. Trip Advisor, too. I add local businesses to both platforms to give them a boost, especially if a friend or acquaintance owns the business!

I agree that a good shout out for local businesses is a good thing to do.  And yes, we Texans like it when folks are nice.

I couldn't agree with you more.  I've been doing it for years.  I also think it helps us as well because buyers want to use someone who knows everything about the area.
