2014 Summer Video Challenge, Show Us Your Local & Bring in the Juice
We all know how great local events are for attracting clients and bringing in the Google Juice and we have been told how much Google likes Video, so this Challenge is going to combine the two for a great dose of SEO for all of our businesses.
Our focus in this challenge is to shoot three short videos of something local and something showing some Summer Fun.
The Challenge
The subject of the videos can be anything local, fun and outdoors.
• A favorite hiking trail
• A summer celebration
• A great local park
• A cool neighborhood
• An Active Rain Meetup in Stevens Point, or somewhere else.
• Something local that sells your town is always a winner
• And lots more summer fun sights and events
Each video should be short, between 1-2 minutes.
Each video should be yours, not something taken off of a community site or something produced by a professional production company.
Each Video will be accompanied with its own blog post.
Points
Since video is a tough obstacle for so many bloggers, and it is so good for the Google Juice, Kerrie agrees that we should bribe our entrants well, with 800 points per video blog for a total of 2400 if you produce all three videos in separate blog posts.
After you complete all three videos and blogs, post the urls in the comments below by 11:59 pm August 31st 2014 and then sit back and watch the points add up on Active Rain and your Ranking on Google rise with each video.
Note; the you will need to wait until after the end of the contest for your Active Rain points, but the Google Juice should be much quicker.
If you are having any problems embedding videos into your blog posts, try this method or drop me a line and I can try to help.
