Deep Sunday Question....Would You Eat These? WHAT????

By
Real Estate Agent with Karen Parsons-Fiddler, Broker 949-510-2395 BRE# 01494165

I was wandering the aisles at my local supermarket, Alberstsons, and minding my own business. I was out of the kid essentials.....goldfish, corn dogs, milk. Then I turned the corner and at the end of the long rows of sugared cereals, was a display of Lay's Chips.

I love salty snacks, that's my guilty pleasure. I could give up candy for the rest of my life (not entirely true) as long as I can get something with salt on it. So I was thinking "yes, we are out of chips too." Then to my horror, I read the label!

Cappuccino!

Ok, "horror" is too strong a word, annoyance might be better. There was no way I was buying this concoction and now I needed chips....on the other side of the store.

So....what do you think? Would you try these (for $4.29)?

Joan: I agree....maybe in my cup, but not in my chip

Charles: Oh, that does not work for me. I'd have to give up Count Chocula (kidding)

If you want to expand market share, ya gotta give 'em something new. Right?

No - I don't think that one will be going in my grocery basket. Sounds awful.

I remember the time I was taking lunch to my son's house while he was painting or something - I bought deli sandwiches and then went for chips. He likes BBQ so I searched for them, thought I had them, and when I got to his house discovered I had Jalapeno.

I liked it better when we had regular and BBQ - no chance of grabbing the wrong one in the midst of two dozen flavors.

Karen, Absolutely not. I would not eat them if they were FREE. My consumption of processed food is minimal. When I do consume, I eat organic chips. Even they are not healthy ... but like you, I sometimes crave the salt.

Yuck ... Cappuccino flavored chips

Coming from a southern girl who eats breakfast gravy on cantaloupes and likes it, I'll try anything once.  It might be good.

Karen~ I've seen the commercial for all the crazy new flavors. I love salty snacks, but this one doesn't do it for me.

Nope, I try not to eat chips at all ( can't eat just one) , and I wouldn't eat these especially. This flavor combo sounds terrible on all fronts.

Karen, We saw those the other day and had zero interest.  The Wasabi Ginger we did try, kind of meh for me, although I think Liz was okay with them.  Bill

That doesn't sound appetizing to me at all, I would have walked to the other side of the store to get some normal chips.

Hi  Karen, Love Cappachino but these sounds disgusting. Like dipping your chips  in a combo of coffee and milk.

Karen, I have seen these advertised along with three other new buddies. Although I love trying out new and different  foods, this just did not interest me. I was trying to remember how many times I craved potato chips when having my cups of cappuccino - never.  But taste buds are very different in people.

A mere marketing ploy designed to double dip the audience of chip lovers and coffee lovers.

No thanks.  One flavor at a time for me.

Marte: It used to be easier, to be sure. But I love Jalapeno

Kathleen: I would not try them either....even if they were free in the store to taste, just sound horrible

Tammy: you do that...and let us know. lol

Debb: I think this is a bad combo for chips too

Wasabi-Ginger: Maybe...kind Thai?

David: Oh Hell No :)

G.R.O.S.S.  Amanda and I have been vegan for almost two years now, but we do snack here on chips here and there.  These chips would NOT be eaten in our house.  BLECH!

William: That is what it sounds like, yuck

Jane: Good point, I've never gone to Starbucks and thought...hey, I need chips. :)

Lenn: Maybe just for attention? But it seems like an expensive gamble

That sounds like an awful combination. I love chips but they have to be a flavor conducive to chips. Vinegar and salt, anyone?

It does not connect to me but I saw Facebook Friends talking about getting a bag as soon as they could find them. I found a picture on Pinterest of a Camper that was adorable for your travels!

Lays has lost their mind.  I got a cheesy garlic bread chip of theirs out of curiosity and it was awful.  When it comes to chips, simple is best.
