I couldn't help but notice that many of the pictures posted as "Throw Back Thursday" this week featured "big hair" images from the 1970s and 1980s. I have some of those too, but have mortal disdain of them, and can't quite muster up enough courage to post them just yet.
However, I will share this photo of me taken when I was about 18 months old. While it wasn't quite my big hair days, it definitely was my big hat days.
Somehow, I think I was born at the perfect time and place in history. I've seen some of the best decades. They were filled with innocence, change, progression, and turmoil. But always, there has been the lessons and experiences that forge who we are, but left to wonder what may come!
Oh Myrl, you write so beautifully and poignantly too. I love your language and your sense of yourself. Great picture too

Sheila Anderson - Thank you Kind Lady! I do have a strong sense of self, at least on some days.
Catherine Ulrey - Ain't it the truth! I will admit however, the hat was fairly lightweight. It was made out of silk, and starched to the max to make it stand like that. My mother made those hats for me. . .I don't know what that says about her. . .LOL

Oh Myrl! That is the cutest, most beautiful, charming, interesting, gorgeous baby photo I've ever seen! I'm not just trying to flatter you, I'm very serious! Your beautiful face, eyes, smile, and that look of innocent wonder. You were born at the right time for all the right reasons. I love the hat and how it matches your eyes too!!!

Oh Myrl, I love it. My mom didn't put bonnets on me because it was so hot in Miami. I did put them on my little girl though.
I agree with Patricia. My, what big eyes you have. Great photo. One you will always treasure, Myrl!
Good morning Myrl,
The photo is priceless! Your eyes are so full of laughter and fun expectations! Love the bonnet..you wore it beautifully!
Hi Myrl, Geez, you look just like a beautiful little Pagent Girl. It certainly did catch your joyous personality. I think you should use this as your online photo for a month. Maybe that would be a fun challenge if we all changed our photos to when we were little. That would surely confuse the consumers out there when we show up looking more like their parents or even worse, I just can't can't say " grandparents", yikes!
