October 2014 Wine Social

This Thursday, October 23rd, 2014 The Cinco Ranch Ladies Club will hold their monthly wine social.

 

This month’s Wine Social of the season will be hosted by our President Elizabeth Walker home. Looks like we get lucky and have fall weather. Elizabeth has a great backyard for entertaining.

 

There is no theme this time please feel free to wear a spooky Halloween Costume if you would like. As always please bring  a wine from $15-$20 dollar value and a small appetizer to share. If you are interested in attending go to the e-mail elizhans2001@yahoo.com

Yolanda, I wanna come!!! Love the sound of this! I belong to the "Eat&Read Group, which also involves "wining" as well as reading. A very drinkable wine was introduced to me called Dark Horse, both the Chardonnay and the Cab I have fallen in love with and a price of about $8--can't be beat! (Trader Joes).

I notice you have a bottle of Barefoot in the ice there.  We see bottles of that occasionally pop up out here too!

Myrl Jeffcoat I am not a big Barefoot Wine person, it is definitely in the 10-15 range I think you can do better but I have found some good ones for a couple of bucks more and the quality is much better.

A few years ago, my daughter and I tried to find some reasonably drinkable wines in the $10.00 range.  We actually found a couple; but Barefoot wasn't among our favorites.  My favorite is "Toasted Head Merlot."

Love this type of social event. We have a local womens club and have a drink of the month, plus five or six different types of wine. Barefoot - thumbs down.  Kendall Jackson is a fav. Have a great time!
