I think that here in DC, we have reached the point of no return, where there are more leaves on the ground than left on the branches of the city's trees. Still, they are very beautiful. And it's hard to be out and about without seeing one more blast of red or yellow.
Soon, we'll be seeing lots of photos of Labradoodles romping in the snow.
I love the vibrant colors of the leaves and my yard is covered with them. It's going to take a few hours to rake them to the curb for pickup, but they must go to make room for the snow.
It's gotten noticably colder even here in SoCal. We've had our first snow fall in the mountains, and I'm looking forward to joining the labradoodles soon ; )
Good morning Pat. In our area, they are almost all completely off the trees, now the cleanup is all that is left.
The big winds we have had here have taken care of the last lingering laaves on the trees and rumor has it that four letter "S" word is on the way !
Good morning Patricia. The colors of fall are like a beautiful gift that is rare and then gone.
As much as I love all four seasons, my least favorite time is when all the leaves are on the ground and the trees are bare. Once they are covered with snow, I think they are beautiful.
I love all four seasons and the color on the trees makes autumn absolutely my favorite - but I like snow as well - there is something so charming about the glistening white and silver.
This is just for those who do not like winter.

I'm almost ready to do my last cut of the year. The grass hasn't been growing for a while but I've been waiting for the leaves to fall so I can grind them up with the mower blade.
Hi Patricia --- I do miss that moment in Fall when the air is a bit crisper while you walk the leaf-strewn sidewalks. As far as snow --- as Donald Urschalitz commented it's nicer for me from afar.
Hi Pat - After our high winds yesterday, with max speeds topping 100 mph, all those troublesome leaves are now in Kansas.
Leaves.... what are those. My trees are now officially naked. Thank goodness for evergreen trees.

Our leaves are just beginning to fall here in Sacramento. Each year, I notice that we seem to be in the thick of it on Thanksgiving!
Living in the woods, I wish the leaves would do just that Patricia Kennedy . . . . leave ! At least until spring when they will return ON THE TREES and not in the driveway and gutters.
