Winter Solstice

Image was captured on the Winter Solstice at the Sedona Airport Vortex lookout point

Today is the Winter Solstice for the northern hemisphere. The north axis of the earth tilts away from the sun at the furthest point today . From our perspective on earth, the sun appears to momentarily stand still today (at the southern most point in the sky) and is now starting on it's journey back to the north.

This is a time to stop and reflect upon the season and be mindful of others and their condition. This is a time to be generous to others and grateful for what we have.

There are two ways to spread light.... Be the candle or be the mirror that reflects it.... Edith Wharton

I couldn't agree more. I get up before 5 am and it is dark outside for at least 2 hours! I think I notice it more in the morning and not so much in the evening.
