Fellow Realtors, appraisers and just ordinary folks out in the real estate world...I come to you today to ask for help in understanding whether solar panels add value to a home? I'm trying hard to do the research before I come up with a price range to give a client who has a "solar array 18 panel system" on her home.
After 21+ years in the business there's always another "wrinkle" that we veterans must iron out .... that's why this business is so interesting, challenging and just down right FUN!
As always, value is in the eye of the buyer but must satisfy both seller and appraiser. I don't want to short change anyone but homes with solar panel systems are still not the normal in our real estate world so please HELP ME!
