Yesterday, I spent the whole afternoon walking around Carmel Valley Village here in Monterey County. It's a 13 mile trip up Carmel Valley Road from the ocean. To the west is Carmel-by-the-Sea where my office is, and to the south is the fabulous Big Sur Coastline.
Because I have a website called www.CarmelValleyCalifornia.com that is so popular with both residents and visitors, I decided it was time to update it with new and more information.
One thing I'm adding is MAPS. I had a gentleman call me who is coming to the area and he wanted to know about shopping. Although I have a bunch of photos on the "shopping" page, it doesn't tell you anything specific so that needs to be changed. Even "services", where are gas stations, the post office, business services, etc.
And, of course, things change in a little village, some businesses leave, others open up. And that includes the many wine tasting rooms of prominent vineyards. There are about 20 of them now in Carmel Valley. Many remained the same, but others have come in including:
Big Sur Vineyards, 1 Del Fino Place: Here are a couple of photos. Check out that fabulous outdoor seating area.
Bunter Spring Winery, also on Del Fino Place. Loved the sign!!! Have you ever heard of a HIPPIE SYRAH? Love this sign.
After several hours of walking around, it was time for me to just sit and relax so I went to a relatively new restaurant called ROUX on Pilot Road. Check out this grilled asparagus topped with sun-dried tomatoes plate. The glass? Peach & Orange Juice Mimosa. Heavenly! It was so good, I'm going back there today, Sunday, for brunch with a friend.
There is so much more in Carmel Valley Village, I'll probably be writing more about it in the coming days, especially after my photo shoot today.
