Transformation - 2017

Transformation

January 20, 2017, begins the transformation of an election year for every American. Regardless of what your personal political beliefs are, it is an immutable truth - transformation is a part of life. The election has been decided. One term ends; another one begins. Let's all keep our opinions about politics to ourselves and may tomorrow be tranquil and peaceful for all. ActiveRain is not the forum for talking politics. It's about a community that supports the Real Estate industry.

Magical

My photograph was taken at Blausee, Switzerland in November 2016. The color blue is not quite blue, it's one of the rarest color blues I have ever seen. For that reason, I wanted to share it's magical color with you here on ActiveRain for Throwback Thursday. I am in hopes that the colors in this picture will remind you that we are all living on one big blue marble. To me, this particular tone of blue feels calming like the Caribbean Sea. Let there be hope. Let there be peace on earth.

Home Ownership

Transformation is akin to metamorphosis and rebirth. I am hopeful that people will be united, kinder, and healthier. May those in the Real Estate industry do their best to achieve home ownership for those in need. Imagine there is no more homelessness or poverty. If you dream it, it may come true. We can make positive changes if we try to quit blaming others and be accountable for our own actions.

Tranquility

When I stood on the shore, I was uplifted in spirit. The light of the glacier waters seemed to magically bounce up out of the waters and into mid-air between the trees. If you feel mesmerized, I was too. The world is a very special place for all creatures here on earth. Peace and tranquility to all.

Sheri Sperry - MCNE® - I pray you get to Switzerland soon and that your daughter-in-law takes you on the most beautiful journey of your life, and together, you and your family will experience magic mixed with love and appreciation beyond measure. May you have everything your heart desires.

The timing for Lou Ludwig's post coincided nicely, didn't it!

I would greatly welcome a kinder gentler world, Patricia!  I'm beginning to think we have turned into neanderthals, who have been raised by wolves!

Myrl Jeffcoat - This topic is not at all funny but I roared with laughter when you expressed what you think our society may have evolved into. Maybe we could collaborate and write a story and get some movie producer from CA to produce and direct an Oscar-winning movie about the "neanderthals, who have been raised by wolves," then when we get rich we can find an island to bring your family and my family together on some island, far, far away....

Patricia, I wake up every single day with the intention to be peaceful. I have had to avoid some social media as it just contains too much hate. Even those who say they want peace and a kind gentle world, speak unkind words filled with disdain. Sadly, they don't seem to see it.

Love this post ... drew me in again. Lovely photo too. The way you framed it highlights the blue.  Thank you for your kind words and sharing your thoughts with us and the world.

Kathleen Daniels - you have a good eye for beauty. There's so much more beauty in the world if only people would open their eyes to see what's all around them. Thank you for mentioning how that you liked how I decided to frame it too. It really makes me happy when people notice little things that I do because I know they pay attention. That means a lot to me.

Your kindness will not be forgotten. Live in peace - there's more beauty than sorrow. Sometimes, we just have to look harder and pay no attention to the evil ways of the world.

Peace be with you.

Your photo is ethereal.  The blue seems to swirl into the air.  Switzerland is one of my favorite places, too.  We were fortunate to live in Europe twice for my husband's work, so we took advantage of our time there to travel as much as possible.  I've been trying to be like Switzerland in this whole election cycle.

Beth Bromund - Oh, how I love your comment, "I've been trying to be like Switzerland in this whole election cycle." You brought upon my face a great big smile and bubbled up laughter!

If you get back to Switzerland, you'll find Blausee in Interlaken. You must have had many great adventures and still have wonderful memories! I would never say no to Switzerland.

Thank you very much for your nice comments.

We spent a week in Interlaken and loved every minute!  One of my daughters celebrated her third birthday there.  I would love to go back someday.

Noah Seidenberg - Travel! See the world while you can! When we get outside of the environment where we spend 24/7, we see things from a different perspective.

Thank you for your thoughtful and very encouraging comment. It is greatly appreciated. May you have a wonderful day!

You can never go wrong by expressing kindness and promoting beauty and peacefulness, Patricia. That blue is an eerie and feather-fairy type blue, simply attention getting.

Also, rest assured I also won't talk politics on your blog, but I might on my own AR blog. Active Rain is the place for that kind of expression in my own blog, when I decide it's necessary because, as you know, Active Rain is for all expressions and all agents. Everybody is free to write her or his own stories. Peace out. Carry on.

I thought we could all use some mystical powers and I had to dig deep into my soul to find something meaningful. I think I may have succeeded to calm some nerves. ActiveRain is a great place to be. There are some really great people here, aren't there?

Personally I am struggling with the hatred that is on display. It takes a lot of energy not to be selfish and just say, I take care of myself. Stay an inspiration to those of us who aren't there yet.

Hello Patricia --- as Noah Seidenberg commented, you paint a picture of beauty in your words and with your photography.   While others may go low, you take the high road and that decision is a smart one.

Joe Pryor - I understand. I have to fight to stay focused on the things that are more important, healthier, and I need to stay uplifted. I hope my photo broke the spell and you found a little peace and quiet. More than anything else, I wish you peace. I remember you writing that you previously had cancer. Don't let the stress get to you. You're more important and you have a beautiful wife. That's more important than politics.

Michael Jacobs - I needed to hear what you wrote right now. Thank you! Writing is my way of connecting with the spiritual center of the world. I don't think about anything else. That's why I like to travel and take photographs. It gives me focus, sort of like a meditative or ritual focus from the heart, through my hands, and in my head; then I'm energized and ready to share, expressing what I feel, hoping I can make a difference. If one person feels changed, I did my job.

Thank you.
