The Prettiest Freeway Exit You've Ever Seen

Cannon Road exit in Carlsbad

OK this might be a bit of exaggeration but the Cannon Road exit off the Interstate 5 freeway here in Carlsbad is pretty darn nice, as far as on-ramps and exit-ramps go. I suppose that's a rather odd thing thing to write about.

I look forward to it every year and it's at the height of color right now.

It's not the easiest thing to photograph, I might add, but getting on and off the freeway is a pleasure, and if you are lucky enough to get stuck at one of the ilghts - not hard to do - snapping a quick photo works. Just don't get distracted or you'll have a problem.

Belinda Spillman - That WAS ironic, wasn't it? Traffic was real slow on the freeway, as it can be on Saturdays, so they didn't blur. I was not moving when these were taken but luckily got stopped at a couple of lights there.

That is eye-catching. Very vivid shade of purple. Nature has such a variety of color and beauty. Thankfully it's not all the same or it wouldn't be beautiful.
