Dorie that is a fun tradition.  To bad more communities do not do that across the country.

Dorie- what a wonderful "weird" tradition!!!!  I do remember one tree on the road we take to the beach, and for the past few years, someone has decorated it with garland and balls!!!

Loved this Tradition, here in LA no one would drive by and say "Merry Christmas" they might get an earful that it is "politically incorrect" what a bunch of..... anyway I love it. Sadly just got back from a mini vacation and tomorrow is "take the outdoor lights and decorations down":))Endre

Within two-three days after Christmas our tree is packed up all the decorations are put away and we have our living room back again.  

I think next year I should plan to do ramdom acts of rogue balls. Sounds like fun.

I think that is a very cool thing to do and doesn't seem weird at all.  The Christmas spirit is still alive!

Hi Dorie: I had no idea what you meant by rogue balls. I thought to myself, hmm, I wonder if it's what I'm thinking. No, of course not. And it wasn't. I need to get my mind out of the gutter, LOL.

I've never heard of Rogue ball decorating, but that sounds like a fun, weird, thing to do every year!

That's such a cute idea.  I'll have to see if I can get a tree at my office large enough to give that a try by next year.

this is a really nice tradition - another fantastic way to keep Austin Weird!  my daughter has a Keep Austin Weird tshirt from a friend! she loves it 

What a neat trick.

We've got a neighbor who puts big christmas ornaments & bells on the twigs he thinks is a tree.   While I may think that's weird, it does surely brighten up the tree and his part of the city block.

Now it's all packed up, to wait for another year.
