Not so Speechless Sunday ~ Sunday morning surprise

I love my Sunday morning surprise in our back yard pots! Agapanthus or Lily of the Nile are some of my favorite flowering plants. This year because of all the rain and some landscaping projects we had undertaken our pots were not planted until a little later in the spring. This morning when I went out for a morning cup of coffee I found a wonderful surprise..the first Agapanthus to open!! Happy Sunday!!

I have several Lily of the Niles in my yard.  They have buds on them but haven't blossomed out yet.  My Star Jasmine and Giant Purple Clematis are going crazy however.  I have my windows open to let the scent in.

New blooms are a wonderful delight and surprise when they produce color and fruit. I have planted a couple of hundred plants which include vegetables, herbs and flowers. I love them all.

This is indeed a nice surprise, Dorie.  Most of my plants are taking swimming lessons this rainy weekend.

Dorie Dillard - These flowers grow so easily here in Texas. I always enjoy seeing them sprout up and out like a purple star! Their petals wave with pride!

Thanks for the cheery photograph!!!
