What's Your Best Source for Lead Generation?

Having experience as a REALTOR® in 3 different US markets as well as having sold real estate in the United Kingdom over the past decade, I ave heard just about everything so far as what agents should (or need to) be doing for lead generation.

I am curious what methods my fellow ActiveRainers find effective, and what lead gen activities they find useless. If you don't mind, take a moment and share your experiences and what methods work/don't work for you.

What lead generation activities do you find particularly productive?

Which Social Media platforms do you find particularly productive?

What percentage of effort do you put in each one of them and what sort of return have you experienced with each one? Also what others do you use effectively that are not on that list?

This is our second run as we were in IOWA for 13 years selling and now in the East Valley in Phoenix for the last 4. Networking has been big, as we are relationship orientated and get referrals this way too. FB is pretty good for us an door knocking. We dont like cold calling but do it some with ok results.

Very cool. I am not a cold caller myself, but now having joined KW, it seems to be a huge thing within KW. Like you, I am much more of a relationship oriented person. I prefer to build trust and provide value. Thanks for sharing your insights.

A Luxury Experience at Every Price Point!

I was with another brokerage for seven years and felt the push was for us to "call, call, call." I came to Realty Pro in Vancouver and it is totally different!! I have learned so much about how to make my life/career more about relationships-from listing appointment through closings. Such things as a small gift on the first listing appointment, being mindful of their family if they are having a birthday or the passing of a relative.  The other great thing Realty Pro does is they provide 5 events per year so that we can CALL our clients and invite them to participate in the event!!! (A reason to call!)

Jill, I love that idea. Call to invite them to something that might be of value to them or even just fun. I do not like the "boiler room" idea of sitting down and calling a certain number of people every morning.... not for me. Thanks for your comment and ideas.
