5 Halloween Fun Events In The Charlotte Metro Area
Waxhaw Fright Night: October 27
Waxhaw, North Carolina will be hosting its annual Fright Night 2018 in downtown Waxhaw on Saturday, October 27th. From 4:00 pm till 6:00 pm there will be Trick or Treating, followed by a costume contest from 6:00 pm till 7:30 pm with first, second, and third place awards for all age groups:
6:00 PM - Ages 0-3
6:15 PM - Ages 4-6
6:30 PM - Ages 7-9
6:45 PM - Ages 10-12
7:00 PM - Ages 13+
7:15 PM - Family Costumes
The haunted maze can be enjoyed from 4:00 pm till 9:00 pm at the David Barnes Children's Park in Waxhaw.
And don't forget about the special screening of Beetlejuice at 7:30 pm at the Water Tower.
Waxhaw Fright Night will be "capped off" with an adult Halloween Party will take place from 7:30 pm until 11:00 pm and will include a beer garden, band, and costume party.
Tricks 'n Treats At Arboretum Shopping Center: October 20
The Arboretum Shopping Center's third annual TRICKS ‘n TREATS Halloween Celebration will take place on Saturday, October 20th from 3:30 pm till 6:00 pm in the parking area near Mickey & Mooch in south Charlotte.
A family friendly event, Tricks 'n Treats features superheroes, pumpkins, creepy crawlies, face painting and lots of candy, and a pumpkin patch! Come dressed in your Halloween costume (there'll be a costume contest, too!). Proceeds from the pumpkin patch will go to the Autism Society of North Carolina.
Boo Bash In SouthPark: October 20
Sponsored by The Macaroni Kid, Boo Bash in Charlotte's Symphony Park at South Park Mall will be held on Saturday, October 20th from 5:00 pm till 9:00 pm. Boo Bash will feature trick or treating, pumpkin painting, games, and prizes plus a free Halloween movie at dusk! Boo Bash is a free event.
Halloween Spooktacular in Indian Trail: October 19
Hosted by Indian Trail Parks & Recreation, the annual Halloween Spooktacular will take place on Friday, October 19th from 6:00 pm till 9:00 pm at Chestnut Square Park. Wear your best Halloween costume and come and enjoy live music, trunk or treat, games and more!
Huntersville Halloween & Fireworks Spooktacular: October 20
Halloween in Huntersville at Rural Hill, a free event, will take place Saturday, October 20th from 4:00 pm till 8:00 pm, featuring live music, balloon twisters, airbrush tattoos, bounce houses, local craft vendors and a Halloween Egg Dash (20,000 black and orange eggs filled with candy!). Food and beverages will be available for purchase. The Amazing Maize Maze will be open along with hayrides and the pumpkin patch for a set fee.
The always popular, annual costume contest begins at 6:00 pm awarding one participant in each of the following categories: Cutest Baby (age 1 and under), Best Costume (ages 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-13, 14-17), Best Superhero, Best Disney Character, Best Homemade Costume, Best Adult Costume (ages 18+), and Best Family Costume.
Halloween Fest In Pineville: October 28
Pineville's Halloween Fest will be held on Sunday, October 28th from 11:00 am till 3:00 pm, featuring trick or treating, face painting, bounce houses, laser tag, a photo booth, painting classes, balloon animals and more. This is a family-friendly, free event. And don't forget that the first 500 kids to arrive at Halloween Fest will receive free trick or treat bags.
