Good morning Debe. Never been to NOLA and my wife has no desire to go. That said, I probably never will but continue to like seafood and jazz. Enjoy your stay!

Debe, my cousin used to live in NOLA (now lives in Charlotte) and I loved visiting her when she lived there. The people watching is so much fun and I'd always eat my way through the day. I definitely understand why you and Ray love visiting NOLA. Enjoy!

I've not been to NOLA, but love cajun food, and often cook it.  I remember first hearing about NOLA, but not being familiar with the term, was clueless in Sacramento, where we have DOCO (Downtown Community).

Good morning Debe - I have had a Cajun Seafood restaurant as a client.  They are outside New Orleans in the Bayou.

I love it to but alway avoid Bourbon Street for much better places to visit there.

Debe I have not been to NOLA, but if it has good seafood, it would be my kind of place.

Debe- I am hungry just thinking about the food in New Orleans. We had the best barbecued shrimp at Pascal Manale's. Sooooo good!!! enjoy and have fun.

Good morning Debe.  I, too, love New Orleans.  More for the old architecture just off the Spanish Quarter area, but also the seafood.

So glad to hear that you and Ray had a lovely time in New Orleans Debe Maxwell, CRS and that is quite a statue to have missed the first 4 times around (LOL).  Of course, I am also cracking up at Endre Barath, Jr. comment on your "speechless" post!

NOLA sure seems like a fun and interesting place to visit and spend some time exploring the history.

Debe, for sure, hidden treasures are around us.

That statue pretty much sums up NOLA, doesn't it, Sis??  Music is so important to that city.  Our oldest son just visited the city this last summer. Absolutely fell in love with it.  Hope you and Ray get to enjoy all the city has to offer ...

I'm surprised your son doesn't like NOLA. I thought all young people do. It is such a happening city.

LOVE that photo, Debe. It's such fun to just walk around and take in all your surroundings, AND appreciate the local and cultural surprises. And that photo says alot about NOLA!!

The last time I was in that city was in 1988, camping my way from California to Maine. It was HOT. Blazing HOT. So hot I warned my husband, "no touching body parts" of any sort!

I grew up and lived in the area and worked in downtown New Orleans (NOLA) for 30 years. It's kind of funny that I appreciate my Cajun culture more than ever, now that I live 600 miles north. (no hurricanes and 4 seasons). New Orleans is a melting pot of cultures from Cajun, Creole (the islands), Spanish, French and whatever else you throw in that pot of gumbo. It is unique.
