The Longest World Series Game ended this morning in the 18th inning. One of my friends emailed me this morning and asked: Have you recovered from this historic game ‘Three’? One fantastic game for the ages, indeed. (2-1 Red Sox leading!)
As much as we all understood that it needed to end, it was truly unfortunate that one team had to come out as the losing team.
If you watched, you would agree with me, that both teams played their hearts out all the way to the end. Nate Eovaldi was magnificent. Baseball fans got the World Series they hoped for. Clearly those who supported the Dodgers after Games 1 & 2 were feeling that last night’s game had to be a “do or die”. As a die hard Red Sox fan, I was not disappointed. If, I may include myself with all baseball fans around the Globe, we all got treated to one heck of a ballgame.
Those of you who noticed I was not on the Internet or on Active Rain for the entire game. It was an edge to your seat game. Friends and relatives from the East Coast and West Coast were texting us. Now keep in mind the game ended past 3:30 am Boston time😊! Just on a side note I am so glad I live in Los Angeles now, it was late even here:))
My friend said to me today, how much she loved that people of all ages, from all background and cultures sat mesmerized and depleted watching two teams make history. We both wondered how can you not love Baseball? Baseball if more than just a sport, so with that said, let me ask you: Are you ready to watch Game Four? May the best Team Win!
Well if you are into statistics let me share some of it here: The Game 3 between the Dodgers and Red Sox ended after seven hours and 20 minutes. and at the bottom of the 18th Inning. Hence it is officially the longest Fall Classic contest ever.
