I blogged once or twice on AR and took occasional interest in the AR's forum. Around this time in 2014 my Trulia blog account name was sold to Ben Kenny who owns Active Rain. Trulia stopped supporting realtor-consumers network blogs. While I had a prior AR account, I was only interested in online leads conversion questions. There are almost no networking websites that support both clients and Realtors for each area. Zillow, Trulia as well as Redfin all blocked realtors blogged information and wanted consumers to go with their own premier agents.
Since May 2015, I became serious wanting an organic platform. Having paid a subscription fee you want to consistently blog to get your name out until you get an AR "free ride".
Back track my work, it looks like the following:
1. Attained 100,000 points on 7/19/2015
2. Attained 200,000 points on 10/28/2015
3. Attained 300,000 points on 2/02/2016
4. Attained 400,000 points on 5/13/2016
5. Attained 500,000 points on 8/10/2016
6. Attained 600,000 points on 12/01/2016
7. Attained 700,000 points on 6/30/2017
8. Attained 800,000 points on 1/16/2018
9. Attained 900,000 points on 11/15/2018
I have met some very wonderful people here. They sometimes steered me in the right direction. I also get a few Internet RE inquires. I acknowledge right away but I ask more questions and specifics. If they are busy I am also busy. They need to be serious enough that I think we can develop into a relationship is then called a confirmed lead.
The social media is a hard place to generate reliable leads. Everyone has a presence on these sites. Will Facebook, Twitter generate the enthusium to replace Realtor.com, Zillow ? Are people more successful using newspaper, radio, TV, billboard, shopping cart and targeted farming doing well? Advertising may cost more but it reaches to consumers easier. If you want to make it big can you ignore marketing efforts?
Blogging is just another one to share information and get noticed. It is probably the most time consuming effort to get the results. My goal is reach the next level to a 1,000,000 AR points. Out of 312,741 participants on AR there are just 223 millionaires who got to this prestigious level. While we will not even get a T-shirt or key chain, I am looking forward to get to that milestone.
Thanks for being supportive and help me to grow. I appreciate it.
