Any time in this business with a level of success and you will end up in some kind of Mastermind group. A Mastermind is a collection of minds all discussing a topic and what comes from that collections of minds is the Mastermind. I am concerned about Agents in the real estate profession. I think some agencies and systems care more about their brand then they do the Agents who are keeping their brand alive with large caps and so many fees.
Franchises and Systems are built by the people who do the work. In real estate the people who do all the heavy lifting, all the actual work are the Agents. Agents give to their Agencies a portion of their fees just for the privilege of having your license with that Agency. Building a group of agents from multiple agencies to actually discuss the business and the industry will go a long way in building your understanding of how things work. We meet once a month for a couple of hours, beer and wine may or may not be invoved, but what is always part of the short meeting is a very indepth conversation about the industry and the business. If you are wondering how all these changes in our industry are going to affect you, then it makes sense to get out there and talk to people. I feel as though the Agencies, the Franchises, the Systems are focused on how they can keep the Agent feeding them and less about feeding the Agents.
