Today my daughter, Jill, treated to me to a pleasant brunch in honor of my birthday. It was my first experience at any of the five Greater Sacramento Mimosa House restaurants. The local weather, in the middle 70s, was enjoyed at our table on the patio.
My daughter opted for, and was really content with The Power Skillet, which featured chopped bacon sauteed with yellow onions, spinach, mushrooms and scrambled eggs. Topped with sliced avocado and macadamia nuts.
I enjoyed The Breakfast Sandwich, with sliced ham, hickory smoked bacon, scrambled eggs, sliced tomatoes, avocado, sour cream and mixed cheese on grilled sourdough bread. Served with house potatoes.
Mimosa House is known for serving up a variety of delightful Mimosas. I especially liked the Mojo. I can't find it on their menu to identify with certainty the ingredients, but I'm pretty certain mango and strawberries were involved.
