Sacramento County Listing and Sales Statistics for December 2019

Sacramento County experienced a -45.6% decrease in number of homes listed FOR SALE in December 2019 vs. the same month a year ago.  For the same period there was a 7.8% increase in the percentage of homes SOLD.  Pending sales increased 10%.  
 
Interest rates continue to remain reasonably low. It's a GREAT time to buy for those who are finding suitable homes.

Our inventory has been sparse for quite some time. However, December's -45 percent drop is significant.

Hello Myrl - there is always a neeed for suitable real estate choices.  It may be a bit more difficult some times but it's good news for serious sellers in Sacramento and truly prepared buyers too.  A very good report.

Those are some pretty dramatic shifts, Myrl. I don't often look at our county, but we saw some big changes year over year in a number of communities. Carlsbad saw a 25% drop in inventory from a year ago but significantly more sales in December.
