Maui lifestyle newsletter for October 2022

Every month I send out an email newsletter about the Maui lifestyle, as a way to keep in touch with clients and anyone who might be thinking of buying or selling a home/land on Maui.  I always include a short video and some useful links.

Hi Georgie:

You always share such great information. I really like your newsletter but it was certainly distressing to read about the beach erosion at Ka'anapali Ali'i. I don't know that particular resort but know generally where it is...we've stayed at the Westin Resort Villas further north multiple time.

Good morning, Georgie... that sunscreen ban was interesting to read about. Is the requirement for mineral bases suncreens only for Maui or for the entire state?

It seems like living in Maui would lead to an amazing lifestyle.  I would love to just relax and the beach, watch those turtles and watch the other people enjoying themselves.

Kat Palmiotti No buildings are moving yet, but the shoreline setbacks have increased.  In the past way too many buildings were allowed to be close to the shoreline and now some are almost in the water.

Nina Hollander, Broker The Big Island (Hawaii County) has also declared a ban starting Dec. 1.
