“Hi this is Fred from Wisconsin and I want to buy a home in The Villages, I want a 3/2, block stucco, golf cart garage, big lanai with a pool on a golf course, no carpet”. Currently there are 3 homes in The Villages that meet your requirements but they are $500,000 over your budget, but let’s think outside the box, shall we?
Make it your own, and I have had clients in the past that did just that. I did have a buyer his name wasn’t Fred and he wasn’t from Wisconsin who had a very similar wish list. We looked for months and nothing finally found one that was stucco, 3/2, a golf cart garage and on a golf course but no big lanai or pool and it had carpet. Looking at the lot there was room and he would need some approvals to build on so he bought it. When he took up the carpet and took down the popcorn ceiling decided perfect time to change the floor plan a little, ordered the pool and lanai and in the process of making it his own.
Many times, you don’t need to make the major changes he is making but if you want that perfect home for you consider making it your perfect home. Tomorrow is the last article in the series and I am going to share our journey from buying a house we didn’t like, gutting it, putting it back together and adding on to create our dream home!
