I had to go to Ocala to meet with clients and it was around 5:00 pm and my wife decided to come along. Being it was time for dinner went on a hunt for pizza and Italian. For those who know the area we were on 200 heading toward Ocala and we came across Milano Italian Grill and decided to stop. I think their motto sets the stage for your dining experience:

They did not disappoint we had a small pizza and cheese stuffed shells and as soon as I tasted the sauce I thought yep this place is great. This family owned business has a story as the owner came to visit our table. Turns out her family left Ukraine 2 years ago and they bought the restaurant from somebody I know and has restaurants in The Villages. We had a nice visit and I told her I was going write a story she quickly offered me drinks, discount or dessert, I told her not necessary she tempted me her best homemade dessert, Limoncello Cheesecake with Lemon Curd Topping, I couldn’t resist!
It is great leaving the bubble of The Villages and finding new places and so happy we found this restaurant and being able to support a family owned business is that much better. Ocala has a lot of great shopping and this place is between the mall and Dillard’s so plan a day!
