While looking at Yolo County areas on Localism today, I noticed there are no posts on my own town of Clarksburg. I have decided to start posting information about our little haven. Since I live here and love it, I guess I could be considered the local real estate expert. In the picture below, you can see a white Egret flying away (they are very shy birds).
For those who are not familiar with Clarksburg, it's a little town in the unincorporated area of Yolo County-- in the southern tip of the county. This area is the begininning of "The Delta". Clarksburg is flanked on the east side by the Sacramento River and the west side by the Deep Water Channel and is blessed constantly by the delta breezes.
Clarksburg is home to some of the highest rated agricultural land in the State of California. There are many vineyards which produce excellent wines. These local wines are showcased at the Old Sugar Mill Wednesday through Sunday. For more information go to www.oldsugarmill.com.
The lifestyle in Clarksburg is very down-to-earth and neighborly. The architecture is varied from Delta Victorians to high water bungalows to ranchers-galore. There are humble homes and magnificent homes and everything in between. Property values in Clarksburg remain stable because of scarcity. Homes rarely come on the market and are often located on large tracts of land.
