A tip of the hat to customer service!

Those of you that have followed my blogs (both here and at www.katyrealestateguy.com ) know that I'm a HUGE proponent of recognizing not only when you get substandard service but lauding when you get EXCEPTIONAL service.

Applause!

This story could have very easily ended up blogged as a FRUSTRATING and bad service experience with my bank, Capital One.

I needed to quickly go and make a deposit into my account.  I drove to the Westheimer Parkway, Katy branch of my bank and hit the ATM.  It ACTED like it was working...let me go through all the steps and then just kinda blanked out...so I tried it again.  Same thing!  GRRRR!  I was  so frustrated.

SO I had to dig through my stuff and find my account number (you don't need that when you use an ATM card to make an ATM deposit!) and pull up to the drive through.  GRRRR...I don't have my account number so I pull around to the front and go in.

I walk in and I'm greeted by two ladies behind the counter and I'm still ticked because it's taking so much longer than I expected to make a simple deposit.

The ladies behind the counter turned out to be Janem Gibbs (teller manager) and Brittney Baines (relationship banker) and there were SUPER!  They understood the frustration as they KNEW the ATM was not working properly but the system is designed to call the technician on it's own and that part was malfunctioning as well! (Isn't that ironic that the machine is designed to call for repair but was unable because it needed repairs! )

So the ladies behind the counter were really nice, they explained that they had another ATM in the outside part of the lobby that is accessible even if the branch isn't open and gave me other options I hadn't considered.  They really turned a sour situation sweet.

So I'd just like to recognize these two bank employees for their job well done!

Super Service!

Ron,

I hate my bank! I've been with them through three acquisitions and each time it gets worse re customer service. If I didn't have a line of credit there, I'd be long gone.

Miss you terribly and hope that RE/MAX is working out for you!

Your friend,

Julie

Thanks for commenting Julie!  REMAX is pretty awesome so far!  I'm settling in and taking on new work so I'm pretty happy!

I'm glad your story had a happy ending.  It's amazing how someone else's attitude can help to change our own.  It encourages me to strive to change another person's attitude - in a good way  - each day...  :)

And those ladies might buy a house from you which the ATM never would!!  Go inside more often.
