Strength can be found in the stangest places: reaching out for light

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker

I went to a listing appointment the other day. I remember the day well because it was one of those unbearable cold days that become synonymous with Wisconsin winters. I did not get any ice fishing, snow mobile, or anything else fun like in this year. Heck, anticipation had me sell my snow blower. This I should have kept and then sold it. The new year is taking off, my objectives are in order, my game plan is fine tuned, and I tend to be picking up every phone in site with the thought of a prospect on the other end.

As I walked up to this home and I was thinking who in the world would want to be out walking in this noise I was taken back by something that really made me think that everything is reaching for strength, for growth, for light. The door I went to was on the southeast corner of this home and right next to the door was a window well, and a dryer vent going. Looking down I saw the start of little heads, perhaps tulips, or some type of perennials taking advantage of the sun light, and the heat from the dryer vent each day. It is truly amazing how tenacious and determined some things are.

Tom,

You are one of the very few people I know who would notice these tiny little miracles and turn them into an analogy on life and business......

I believe that life is forever longing for itself, and as you said, 'reaching for the light' and expanding outwards. It's beautiful, isn't it?

enjoyable post, thank you

That really made my evening.  I really enjoyed seeing that.  Being from Minnesota myself I know exactly what the weather is there and it makes me happy to think it is possible to see Green this time of year.  Thanks again!

Crocus and hyacinth give one hope. They are typically the first signs of spring. When I lived in Minnesota, those were the first flowers I'd see popping up through the snow. Later, they were followed by tulips and daffodils. It's a good feeling to know the snow isn't forever and spring is around the corner.

Of course, my daffodils in Sacramento are already in bloom and the tulips are just starting to grow. :)

I love daffodils. I bet things are really starting to come to life by you. It is still cold as can be here. I bet it is hard for you to forget those Minnesota days.

Look forward to talking soon.
