Get to Know Bill Benson
A native Californian, Bill Benson was raised in San Jose where he graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Business Administration. With 2 young children. Bill and his wife, Diane (his high school sweetheart), moved to their vacation home in the mountains where he became a Realtor and then a Real Estate Broker, starting his own Real Estate Company. He eventually expanded into Property Management in the mountains and then Real Estate Development in the Central Valley of California.
Returning to Santa Clara County, Bill became a top producer in the Mortgage Business where he eventually opened and managed offices, first for Coast Funding Corporation and then Norwest Mortgage (now Wells Fargo Home Mortgage). In his 30 years in the Mortgage Business, he has worked extensively with Realtors, Home Builders, Financial Planners, and a wide variety of Home Buyers. Bill now prefers the Mortgage Brokerage business over the Mortgage Banking business because it gives him the advantage of being able to SHOP for the best mortgage programs and rates available for his clients. It also gives him the opportunity to do Reverse Mortgages for Senior Citizens which he has been doing for the past few years. He excels in service and is proud that much of his business comes from past clients-- repeat business.
