FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CINCINNATI, Ohio, - December 18, 2010 - The Kroger Co. said today it is recalling select packages of pet food sold in some of its retail stores because the products may contain aflatoxin, which poses a health risk to pets.
Kroger stores in the following states are included in this recall: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.

Mother nature, Sarah and me. - 12/22/10 06:56 PM
Yesterday's weather was in the 80's.  Today the temps were not as high.  However, that did not stop Sarah and I from taking a walk in the park.
We arrived at Kiest Park around 2:35 p.m.  We noticed a few vehicles and a few walkers and joggers. 
We made our way down the trail with two trash bags in hand and I wore gloves to keep my hands clean.
Sarah made a pit stop as usual and I started to collect the trash and plastic bottles while I waited on her.

This weekend was a great one for me.  I got to spend time with my nephew.  The only child I can spoil.
Then there were some negative actions from strangers.  We went to do a little shopping in Cedar Hill and at one dept. store there was yelling back and forth from two customers.  We only caught one side of it but that was not a pleasant situation to be around.
Later that evening we went to Arlington.  I couldn't believe my ears when someone decided to have a foul mouth.  Luckily my nephew did not hear.  I ignored it and … (6 comments)

Keep Glenn Heights Beautiful- another great year. - 12/17/10 02:43 PM
This is our second year of contributing to the beautification of Glenn Heights.  Glenn Heights is a small city in comparison to the surrounding cities.  Its located in between Desoto, Red Oak and Lancaster.
So small that it does not have its own school system.  Students use Desoto and Red Oak ISD.
Our calendar of events included more participation from our youth population.  That is very impressive.  Who new that our children wanted to learn about recycling, Arbor Day, Earth Day and cleaning up its streets and parks.
