lomalinda: Remember Your Clients with Holiday Cards - 10/24/14 02:18 AM
Holiday Cards are Important to Remember your Clients
All Holidays are Important to Remember

I generally keep a file on all my past clients and hand write and send out cards via 'Snail Mail' as it is nice to receive mail. If I just send it by email, sometimes they get read and other times it is just deleted or gets mixed up in the dreaded 'SPAM' folder and that is not where I want my email to go. Do you?

I can honestly say I have a good relationship with my clients and they are always satisfied when … (3 comments)

Don’t Even Think About Stopping Here

I had been working on real estate matters for several days straight so I did not get home in time to fill the bird feeders. Finally Saturday morning I filled them up and this Finch was so funny as he sat on one of the feeders for the longest time and would not let any other bird land on it.

His expression was priceless….Back off!

Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head

Here on the West Coast, we have been experiencing rain storms in the past few weeks. Unfortunately our water levels are still only half way so I hope we continue to get more or we will have a drought this summer. Here are some pictures of our latest rain.

Rain does not keep up from conducting business so here I am driving to Rancho Cucamonga to show property on Sunday afternoon.

I got this picture near the Ontario Airport at the Ontario Auto Center. It still amazes me how such … (16 comments)

lomalinda: Do You Have Poisonous Plants at your Home or Listing? - 02/23/12 02:36 AM

Most of us buy plants to landscape our homes; decorate with house plants inside our house or office and take walks/hikes with our children and pets.

Warning!  Real Estate agents need to be aware of any red flags at their      listings/buyers perspective homes as well.

Many plants or trees can cause sickness or death to children, pets, wildlife, farm animals and also to adults. It is important to rid our homes of poisonous plants and teach our children and pets not to taste or eat any plants. Also the berries can be very tempting and … (14 comments)

lomalinda: Fall Season of Miracles-My Mother Answered Me After Death - 10/24/11 12:23 PM

My beloved mother Sarah felt I spent way too much time at my job.  I worked for the County for 28 years and it was true that it was almost impossible to take off time.  So when I got the chance to retire early with a better retirement package, I took it. I had taken the DRE exam so I went to work as a Realtor. Now, I intended my job to be part time but we all know how that goes especially getting started.

Forecast: More Calif. Home Losses Unlikely- REAL ESTATE RECOVERY
Yesterday, the Orange County Register Forecasted “More Calif. home losses unlikely!”

Housing continues to frustrate everyone. Foreclosures which have dropped off have done so because lenders have delayed and extended the lengthy process in the wake of Foreclosure-Gate. However, homeowners have also slowly improved their debt to income ratios, strengthening their ability to make mortgage payments. The time for a housing revival should be here by now. However, it is still impacted by general economic uncertainty and slow job growth. A commencement of job creation in the labor market is what is needed … (9 comments)

BofA Donates Then Demolishes Houses to Cut Glut of Foreclosures

Bank of America Corp., faced with a glut of foreclosed and abandoned houses it can’t sell, has a new tool to get rid of the most decrepit ones: a bulldozer. The biggest U.S. mortgage servicer will donate 100 foreclosed houses in the Cleveland area and in some cases contribute to their demolition in partnership with a local agency that manages blighted property. Cali Carlin reported on Bloomberg Television's "InsideTrack." (Source: Bloomberg)

Why I Chose Real Estate….From Officer to Realtor in One Exciting Move!
Born in Riverside, CA. and lived there most of my school days. Here is a picture in front of our house on Roslyn Street in Riverside when I was 5 yrs old.
Easter Sunday in front of our house. Every holiday was a Kodak moment for us. Mom or Dad taking pictures and our cocker spaniel Skipper usually in the pictures too. He was an important part of our family.
Went to school in Riverside but moved to San Bernardino County after college. Stupid employment rule or I would … (9 comments)

“SESAME CHICKEN for 2"

While grocery shopping last week, I was standing in front of the frozen dinner section contemplating which Chinese Stir-fry to buy. I usually purchase the stir-fry bag that is made by a nationwide Chinese Restaurant. The man standing beside me said “Try this brand as we really like it and it is more inexpensive” so I chose “Sesame Chicken”.

Yum Yum!   Looks good and very tasty!

Last night, I came home late and tired and said tonight I will try it. I did chop up a quarter of an Onion and sliced … (3 comments)

NAR “Bed Bug” Seminar July 28th, 2011

You might have read in your newspapers and on the internet in the past year that bed bugs are back. Yes, we started hearing about them in the news about a year ago. The two main reasons seem to be more international travel into the US and pesticide changes. Apparently, bed bugs don’t just migrate to beds; they migrate to any place where they can be close to human contact so they can feed. Remember, the definition of bed bug is “blood-feeding parasite.” YUK!

The course of bed bugs has changed … (8 comments)

Borders, once the second-largest U.S. book-seller chain, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in February and faces the predicament of going out of business altogether.

An auction in bankruptcy court for Borders Group Inc (BGPIQ.PK) was scheduled to take place in Manhattan today. A group of liquidators has been made the "stalking horse," and sources told Reuters no other bids have been made for the company in its entirety. lomalinda: Vacationed in Philly and what a Spectacular City! - 07/18/11 08:52 AM

I just got back from a vacation in Philadelphia, PA. It was a beautiful city and full of history. I spent the majority of my time in the downtown area and what a pleasant eye opener. One good site I found while researching this article was the Independence Visitor Center which is full of tourist information.
Living in California most of my life, I had never spent much time in a crowded city. What I discovered was Philadelphia is full of historical buildings, street vendors, restaurants, stores, numerous hotels, condos and apartments everywhere and lots high rises.

WIN or LOSE on your Bank of America Short Sales

Yesterday, I attended a Bank of America Short Sale update through an organization I belong to, NAHRAP. It was very enlightening and well worth my time. I say that as I am a seminar junkie, yes I admit it. I love to go to classes and add designations. But so many seminars I go to, I do take away some new tidbit or it triggers something in my brain to try.  But honestly, sometimes it is really a waste of time and I could have used my day to … (7 comments)

lomalinda: Military Personnel "Cannot" Sell: Short-Sale & Foreclosure not an Option! - 07/05/11 03:35 PM
Military Personnel "Cannot" do a Short-Sale & Foreclosure is Not an Option.
It was reported last night on nightly news that there is a serious problem with military personnel who purchased homes after July 1, 2006. The evening story specifically dealt with the Las Vegas area but this is a huge nationwide problem with military families.
Air Force Lt. Col. Mike Ballek, an F-15 pilot, purchased a home in a gated community just north of Las Vega in 2007. Since, the market began to drop drastically and he is now upside down on his loan. Ballek has been reassigned to Washington … (7 comments)

U.S. Home Prices Poised to Climb
Kim Chipman, Bloomberg News
Homes in the U.S. are the most affordable they've been in decades and prices may start to climb as soon as the third quarter, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan said yesterday.
Prices for U.S. homes may climb as soon as the third quarter, ending declines as foreclosures decline make more home available for sale, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan said.
"It's very unlikely that we will see a significant further decline," Donovan said yesterday on CNN. "The real question is when will we start to see … (6 comments)
