We are going into our busiest season of the year, Fall in the North Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains. As a Realtor, I can already tell that we are seeing more home buyers now. Some home buyers held off buying that dream mountain escape thinking prices will go lower and more than likely missed out on the log cabin of their dreams. Who knows whether prices will go lower? Atlanta reported just last week that prices have started increasing and even some of the beleaguered Florida markets are reporting their home prices are increasing too. On November 6, 2007, (North Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains) Fannin County voters will decide whether or not to allow distilled spirits to be served in the county's restaurants. This issue is important to all residents in Fannin County.
Some have concerns that we cannot grow healthy businesses and the loss of tax revenue will mean higher taxes in the future. Other residents are concerned that it will change our quaint mountain town and they are not sure it is for the better. florida: Housing Slump? Growth in the North Georgia Mountains is Getting Better and Better!

According to the Chattanooga Times Free Press, Georgia has 24 of the 100 fastest growing counties in the country. Most of those counties are in North Georgia with much of the increase in the Blue Ridge Mountain area.
