Why is it so difficult to do the right thing?
This morning I got up to find a good accumulation od snow on the ground.  Where I live that means most everybody now has an excuse to not work, go to school etc......
So I got up and went to my usual Cofffee Spot to sit quietly and read the paper for a change.  Not just the Business section as I normally do, but the whole darn paper, even the funnies.

Existing Home Owner Tax Credit
Are you an existing homeowner?  Have you lived in your existing home for at least 5 years as your primary place of residence?
If you can answer yes to the two questions above you might be eligible for a $6500.00 tax credit on the purchase of your next home.
The congress has passed and the President is expected to sign into law a bill that will allow existing home owners to take advantage of a Tax Credit similar to the First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit.

Area Home Sales Rise Again.
According to "The Courier Journal" home sales in the Louisville Kentucky metro market are up again this month.  Realtors sold 1160 homes in Louisville and 257 homes in Southern Indiana for September.  September 2008 figures shhow Louisville homes sales at 1012 and Southern Indiana at 222 homes.
The First Time Home Buyer Tax credit had a definite affect on the market. 
The median sales price of a home sold in the Louisville market September 2009 was $132,000.00 up from September 2008 where the median price was $131,000.00.
