Hey, Bel Air Crew!
Lanette here, spilling the tea on my recent triumph over the cable chaos. Drumroll, please... I officially broke up with Xfinity and hitched my wagon to YouTubeTV. Let me tell you, it's a game-changer that's not only saving me hundreds of dollars PER MONTH but also providing a front-row seat to the circus of life.
Now, canceling Xfinity felt like liberation day. No more dancing around their outrageous fees, playing their customer service hopscotch, or enduring the endless buffering. It's like shedding a heavy coat of frustration and stepping into the light of streaming freedom.
I know, I know, it … (4 comments)

bel air real estate: Why won't you show me homes before I talk to your lender? - 08/14/13 03:52 PM
Oftentimes, the need arises to write a post on a subject I've covered before.  The need has arisen once more; buyers continue to ask this question and I am compelled to answer.
Inquiring buyers want to know:  Why won't you show me homes before I talk to your lender?
Short answer:  Because I'm a professional and this is my business. It makes absolutely no sense to do things a$$-backwards.  I derive no pleasure from showing you homes you can't afford to buy and, besides that,  gas is high as hell.  Haven't you heard?
Long/Tactful Answer:  Because I'm a professional and this is … (48 comments)

bel air real estate: Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb - 06/23/10 02:36 AM
Me? I'm an old(er) broad.  I've been here a minute or two.
Them? They're an accident waiting to happen.
<Do I dole out some sage advice in an attempt to head off impending trouble at the pass?
Or...
Do I keep my mouth shut because it's really none of my business?>
Ah, what to do...what to do?

It happens all the time; I see someone about to make a big mistake and I'm suddenly in a quandary.  Big mistake translates to financial and/or real estate-related.  It could be family, friend, stranger, or foe.  It's an equal opportunity type of situation.  It's the … (4 comments)

State of the State County
If you're a buyer looking to purchase in Harford county, MD, you really should get going. Houses are selling like...well, hotcakes.
An amazing thing is happening in and around Harford County, Maryland. Higher priced properties - the kind that historically stay on the market longer than more affordably-priced properties - are selling in record time.

bel air real estate: New Look For Downtown Bel Air - SKYLINE? - 04/20/07 03:22 PM
Bel Air, Maryland - Lanette Branch, Realtor
Who'da thunk I'd ever use the words Bel Air and skyline in the same sentence? I mean, really, considering the fact that Bel Air has no skyline, it all seems too incongruous. But there they are, in the same sentence, and still Bel Air is without a skyline - but not for long.

Apparently, town officials are in the midst of planning for Bel Air, Maryland's first 5-story building in the downtown district. Woo-hoo! No, really - whoo-hoo! This is a big deal for Bel Air residents. Just as we're getting used to … (0 comments)

bel air real estate: Harford County Legislators say, "Read my lips - NO NEW TAXES"! - 02/28/07 02:32 AM
Harford County, Maryland - Lanette Branch, REALTOR

There's good news on the home front (pun intended) for home buyers interested in purchasing in Marylands's northeastern county of Harford.
After much wrangling back and forth, it has been determined that there will be no increase in the county's transfer tax. The County Council's request to increase the tax has fallen on deaf ears.
The current tax is imposed on all real estate transactions and is 1% of the sales price of the particular property. The Council proposed an increase of ½%, translating to a total transfer tax of 1.5%.
But, that … (2 comments)
