There's good news on the home front (pun intended) for home buyers interested in purchasing in Marylands's northeastern county of Harford. After much wrangling back and forth, it has been determined that there will be no increase in the county's transfer tax. The County Council's request to increase the tax has fallen on deaf ears. The current tax is imposed on all real estate transactions and is 1% of the sales price of the particular property.
