foreclosures: Cape San Blas Real Estate Week In Review - Apr. 3-9, 2010 - 04/17/10 09:49 AM
It has been another busy week here for real estate and this week it was all about Cape San Blas lots, where one lot sold and four others went under contract. Our inventory of active MLS listings in the Cape San Blas, Indian Pass, C-30 Corridor area inched down by four, coming in at 388, with 144 houses and 244 lots. We had an equal number of new listings and price changes with six of each.

Our solo sale is actually two adjacent bank-owned, 25′ by 100′ gulf view lots in San Blas Shores next door to Ovation. They last sold in … (0 comments)

foreclosures: Cape San Blas Real Estate Week in Review – Jan. 2-8, 2010 - 01/18/10 10:24 AM
Like most of the country, Florida's Forgotten Coast is freezing this morning, 28 degrees at day break, and there were large patches of ice on my car port when I left for the office.  It may be freezing outside but our real estate market continues to sizzle, with two sales, four new contracts, three new listings and six price changes this week. We end the week with our total inventoryof MLS listings in the Cape San Blas, Indian Pass, C-30 market at 357 (128 houses and 229 lots).

Both of our sales were bank-owned first tier lots at Ocean Haven on the … (0 comments)

foreclosures: Cape San Blas Real Estate Week in Review – Dec. 26 – Jan. 1, 2010 - 01/18/10 10:21 AM
The annual holiday season marathon mercifully draws to an end and we can get back to our normal routines. With these two back-to-back holiday celebrations things were a bit slow in the real estate market this week, but we still managed to write two new contracts. Not much else, only three new listings and two price changes.   We begin the new year with our inventory only one fewer than at the beginning of 2009, with 354 total listings in the Cape San Blas, Indian Pass and C-30 Corridor market, with 125 houses and 229 lots. It is, however, a nice drop from last week, … (0 comments)

Cape San Blas Real Estate Week in Review - Nov. 21-27, 2009
Published by Sherri Dodsworth under Barrier Dunes, Cape San Blas, Foreclosures/Short Sales, Forgotten Coast, Indian Pass, Port St. Joe, Real Estate Edit This
Black Friday may have been the national official launch of the holiday shopping season but buyers shopping for coastal real estate snapped up bargains all week long as we had yet another banner week, with three closings and five new contracts. Those Thanksgiving shoppers gobbled up a nice chunk of our inventory and we end the week down five to 388, … (1 comments)

foreclosures: Cape San Blas Real Estate Week in Review - Week of July 4-10, 2009 - 07/12/09 04:13 AM
We had a water-logged start to the week with heavy rain all day Monday, Tuesday and the better part of Wednesday, but the rain apparently wasn't enough to dampen buyers' appetites for real estate as we managed to have a respectable showing, with one closing and four new contracts. I was sorry to see our inventory jump right back up to 409, where it had been hovering; seems our dip below 400 to 398 last week was brought back up by sellers renewing a slew of listings which had expired at the end of June.  Anyway, we end the week with 163 homes … (0 comments)

foreclosures: Cape San Blas Real Estate Market Week in Review - May 2-8, 2009 - 05/09/09 07:19 AM
Unfortunately, the MLS links gremlin is back - the work-around solution I had figured out last week is no longer working. I think it may be an Internet Explorer 8 issue. I apologize for the inconvenience; it will let me email links but not post them online. Go figure. I have people looking into it and hope to have it resolved ASAP.
Our mini market rally continues along the Forgotten Coast with prospective buyers slowly but steadily making inquiries and looking at property. Our inventory dipped ever so slightly this week, which is a good thing, ending with 408 active MLS listings in the … (0 comments)

foreclosures: Cape San Blas Real Estate Market Week in Review Week of Jan. 17-23, 2009 - 01/24/09 02:23 AM
It may have been an historic week for news, but local real estate certainly didn't warrant any headlines with very little activity. Our MLS inventory of active listings in the Cape San Blas, Indian Pass and C-30 Corridor market remains steady at 365, down only one from last week, with 141 homes and 224 lots. No closings, but we do have one new contract, along with seven new listings and twelve price changes. Eight expired unsold and two were withdrawn.

Let's start with our new contract, which is a 6-bedroom, 4-bath, 3,388 square foot gulf front home on C-30 just west of … (0 comments)

foreclosures: Cape San Blas Real Estate Market Week in Review Week of Jan. 10-16, 2009 - 01/17/09 03:45 AM
Another chilly morning here on the Cape, about the same as yesterday, with 37 on the thermometer when I woke up. The weather may be cold, but real estate was pretty hot this week with four closings. Our inventory remains steady with a total of 366 active MLS listings in the Cape San Blas, Indian Pass, C-30 Corridor market, with 145 homes and 221 lots. No new contracts, but we have 13 new listings and 10 new price tags.  Let's see who went to the closing table.

Our first (and second)  closing was a two-fer: a gulf front home and an adjoining … (0 comments)
