houston: A tool and great advice to protect you from the Conficker worm, Realtors need their computers - 03/31/09 07:35 PM
My IT guy is pure genies when it comes to computers...wish I knew a 1/1000 of what he does.  Since my computer knowledge on a scale of 1-10, I'm about a 2.  Needles to say Richard also has a lot of patience, he would have to in order to help me while I'm leaning over his shoulder asking questions, while hes trying to fix my last screw up.  But he is always kind, and soft spoken and tells me it's OK to go into the administrative, settings of my computer, that's how I will learn.  He know he is close and … (8 comments)

AM I CRAZY?  Sometimes I wonder...Real Estate can be extremely stressful, hard, long hours, tedious job that has no regular paychecks, insurance, benefits or paid vacations.  It is filled with rejection, getting blamed for everything that might go wrong (whether it's your fault or not), long unpredictable hours, hurt feelings, rejection and can be a physically dangerous business.  You deal with … (13 comments)

houston: CLUELESS REALTOR; Need a good laugh...read on! - 01/02/08 06:35 AM

FUNNY TRUE STORY; CLUELESS REALTOR IN KATY (Houston) TX.
I got my real estate license in 1976 and was very excited about my new career.  I was given a desk complete with a phone (they were rotary back in the old days) and told good luck...that was the extent of my training.  After about a week of sitting at my desk and staring at my phone expecting something to happen I got bored (and more brook), so I went to my manager and ask if there was something I should be doing?  He told me, "Well why don't you go knock on … (34 comments)

Golden Opportunities for home buyers in the greater Houston, Katy, Sugar Land and surrounding areas in 2008
More Buyers, especially first time buyers will be able to afford the American dream of home ownership in the next few years. 2008 will represent the best window of opportunity that buyers will have to find excellent deals with excellent financing. Prices in our area have remained fairly stable unlike other parts of the country so more people will be able to buy rather than lease a home to live in.  One of the biggest joys of being a Realtor is to help someone buy … (0 comments)

Questions Every Seller Should Ask Realtors They Are Interviewing
When you are selling or buying a home it is critical to know the credentials of the Realtor you hire.  This is one of the biggest emotional and financial decisions of your life, so make sure you hire the best agent you can to assist you.  One of the ways to do that is to know what questions you need to ask.  Most people think that all agents are the same, which is far from the truth.  The average agent only sells 2-3 homes a year...sad but true, so take the time to find out … (3 comments)

houston: Houston, Katy, Sugar Land Texas...most affordable markets to buy a home in the US - 04/11/07 04:19 PM
Having been a Realtor in the greater Houston Texas area since 1976, I am still amazed at how affordable it is to live in our area of the US.  We offer homes for sale that in most parts of the country seem unbelievable, and I am always ask why?  Part of the reason is the amount of land that we have to build on and develop, the cost of labor, and economic factors are the three top reasons.  The average cost of a home is only around $200,000 and that buys you a very nice home in great school districts, and … (1 comments)
