positive attitude: Sowing Seeds with Negative Reads - 10/22/12 02:21 AM
The main reason we are online is for our businesses. We communicate and connect through this network and we have respect for one another that surpasses the written word. If we all live by a daily moral code of healthy beliefs then we have no problem with taking it to the online level.
On our ActiveRain Real Estate Network, they gave us this ability to create a conversation by commenting about the article we are reading. More often than we would like we see many negative responses and retorts..... but it up to each individual as to how they handle it.

In more ways than just the MIRACLE OF MY LIFE ---my Grandson Brayden also got us off this island to take a vacation. I also had to have a plan in place so I could go on vacation for 11 days and not have to worry about my pending transactions.  They say that every time one plans a vacation business rolls in…and boy did it!

positive attitude: Mind in a Fog? - 03/28/12 04:55 AM

Sometimes, other people can see us better than we can see ourselves. Our minds are usually cloudy and foggy when we are stuck in our own thinking and do not want to see another side to the situation.

There are ALWAYS two sides to everything. Each one of us is a unique being and we have our own thinking and our own opinions. More often than not we allow our ‘false pride’ to get in the way and block out all other views.

If one has the ability to step into another’s shoes and try to see … (7 comments)

positive attitude: FALL SEASON OF MIRACLES CONTEST >>>>>>WINNERS!!! - 11/08/11 04:06 AM
The MIRACLE OF MY LIFE was the birth of my daughter’s first child (and my first grandchild) Brayden. After ten years of hoping and wishing to bear a child with her only true love, that dream happened on September 20, 2011.  It was my dream to experience being a gramma. I can tell you (now) from experience, the amazement and utter joy I felt when holding my grandson in my arms for that first time.
Miracles come in all shapes, sizes and forms. They can be anything from a rainbow to the miracle of life. A miracle can come from … (52 comments)

positive attitude: Positive Business Practices For a Lasting Reputation - 09/04/11 11:26 AM
My reputation is my number one priority of my business model. The first impression of who I am and what I stand for will long be remembered by all I cross paths with. The lasting impression comes from remembering where I came from when working alongside other Real Estate Industry professionals as a team through each and every transaction.
After my phone conversation with another agent last night ended, I was left with such a glow that showed from the inside showing out. My husband asked what that was all about because I was smiling ear to ear. I told him … (55 comments)

positive attitude: Being Positive Doesn’t Mean I Let YOU Walk All Over Me - 05/27/10 02:26 PM
You know, many would think that when others have a positive attitude towards business, and life in general, is a means to try and trample over those without regard to how they affect them. That is not so and the positive are not weak in nature to begin with.
I have long since learned that a positive outlook doesn't mean I just follow others around and keep in tune with the "Joneses" but to be direct and honest WITH regard to my intent that in doing so I am not affecting others in a negative way. On the flip side, I … (72 comments)

positive attitude: Get Back to Where You Once Belonged | Hawaii Home Sellers Who Really Need Help - 02/06/10 01:51 PM
Depending on the circumstances, I quite often help a Hawaii Home Seller out with preparing their home. Many times I will actually get down on hands and knees to make that home shine or get into the dirt of their yard and throw down some colorful bromeliads or potted greenery in a townhouse fenced courtyard.
Many of you may not agree to getting down and dirty but in certain circumstances it just may prove beneficial to put your expertise and personal touches into a home.
It may just be a generation thing. You know, like when I was growing up we were military … (29 comments)

positive attitude: Setting Ourselves APART from .... "The OTHERS" - 12/15/09 05:35 AM
In order to set ourselves apart from our competition we have to have our own niche and areas of expertise in our profession. As Real Estate Industry Professionals we hold ourselves to higher standards and that is definitely NUMBER ONE  in setting ourselves apart from ...."THE OTHERS".
Instead of focusing on ‘THE OTHERS' and their poor performance let's take a look at how each and every one of us CAN and WILL make a difference in the lives of all those we come in contact with in the Real Estate Industry.

positive attitude: Century 21 Liberty Homes | Annual Christmas Party | The Ohana - 12/14/09 02:32 AM
Century 21 Liberty Homes has an Annual Christmas Party each year and it's not only to celebrate the holidays but to acknowledge all the hard work the agents and staff of our office did over the last year.
I believe we can attitribute our ongoing success through the positive spirits that run through our office throughout the year. Our Principal Broker, Douglas Fortner and  our Broker In Charge, Leona Soto continue to give each of us their guidance and to ensure that our office carries the Ohana (family) atmosphere to make everyone feel a "part of".
Happy Holidays and a Positive … (14 comments)

positive attitude: Being Mindful of Our Reputation Online - 07/04/09 02:30 PM
A very successful young woman treated all who worked under her like they were less than. She was mean and did not care who she hurt with her demanding haughty demeanor and words.  All the office workers talked behind her back and everyone was in on letting each other know when ‘her highness' arrived in the office.
Long story short, she was in a bind and her whole life was in jeopardy because she was from Canada but violated her Visa. She threatens her assistant that he'll be without a job too if he doesn't marry her so he agreed. During … (46 comments)

positive attitude: MORE than Words - 06/09/09 04:43 PM

WORDS play a big part in determining an outcome of a situation and can greatly impact how another person is perceived.  In person, the attitude of a person and the behavior that goes along with it can surely give us an idea on how a person's is. The demeanor and personality of a person will determine what we believe to be true. Okay, some can really play it off with actress/actor abilities although sooner or later the true colors of a person's mind eventually shines through.
What we say and how we say it can depict the tone of a … (31 comments)

positive attitude: Let Your Dreams Blossom - 05/09/09 05:16 PM
There is something so extraordinary about the bond that mothers have with their children. When my children graduated from high school I told both of them...to spread their wings and grow. Mothers guide their children the best they know how to do but ultimately each and every child leaves that nest and has to find their own way in the world.
Sometimes, mothers get lucky and their children find their way home once in awhile.
I have been fortunate that my son got out of the US Navy and came home safely in 2006. My son's birthday is on March 19th...and that's the day … (47 comments)

positive attitude: Motivational Monday? Spring Cleaning My Home..... - 04/06/09 11:07 AM
JUST DO IT!
Did that "JUST DO IT" get you all motivated?  LOL!  We literally did our Spring Cleaning and went above and beyond this past weekend.
 Spring Cleaning Saturday and Sunday!
We moved as much as we could out of the bedroom and PAINTED. We cleaned out everything down to the closets so we could donate to Goodwill and .....declutter. A massive undertaking that was well past due.

The paint job came out beautiful! A darker tone of cream with bright white trim.
Yup...we were proud.
Decluttered, painted, cleaned the room, blinds and curtains too! Amazing the tips … (42 comments)

positive attitude: The POWER of ActiveRain...The PEOPLE Behind the WORDS - 03/26/09 12:29 PM
If ever there were a time to splash the positivity around the RAIN it is NOW. I have reiterated time and again the importance of having a wonderful repertoire with our peers here on ActiveRain. We carry a professional attitude (and behavior behind the pounding on the keyboard) and being ever so "REAL" in our writing with a little transparency. Through our conversations and eventually getting to meet one another face to face through our interactions here has surely given me the richness of the meaning Connections through ONLINE RELATIONSHIPS.
I'm not talking the chat room gossip. I'm talking about a … (45 comments)

positive attitude: CHANGE .... & The SMALL Things! ~ A Spring Fresh CONTEST - 03/20/09 07:43 AM
During the Spring Season we think of everything bright and beautiful. The flowers start blooming and the grass turns green; with newborn chicks peeping high above in their nests. The cool spring breezes blow through your hair. You lay down in the field and look up at the clear blue skies that display fluffy odd shaped clouds to ponder upon.
The children are playing outside  with screams of delight in the air while the little ones learn to pedal a two wheeler for their very first time in their young lives.
Ah...these are the simple things in life that we … (114 comments)

positive attitude: There's a Diplomatic (Nicer) Way to Say IT! - 02/27/09 04:51 AM
We ALL feel the need to express opinions on many subjects. It's human nature.....we all think differently and have different opinions. Regardless if it's political, about something going on around ActiveRain or Localism or just plain views on religion or abortion, the way you are presenting it can make all the difference in the world.
In other words, I can be assertive to express my opinion. Be mean, nasty, blunt and one sided and no one would want to listen to me. At least I know I wouldn't if I talked me to that way.
I don't Nobody deserves the disrespect from 'loud mouthed'  (bolded exclamation … (34 comments)

positive attitude: My Motivation for Monday - 02/23/09 03:05 PM

Today is February 23, 2009: When I opened my front door this morning, this is the view that peeked through the rooftops and beckoned me to snap a shot.  Funny how the little things in life can really make a difference in how your day will go. Ah.... the mind...the thinking and how one approaches each and every day.
I dare not let any moment of the day pass without acknowledging every little thing I am grateful for.
